Once we arrived at Sydney airport, we took a moment outside to get some fresh air and to stretch our fishnet covered legs, well least mine were, and we noticed the strangest thing. The taxies were white!!
Following this we promptly found a bar but there was once obstacle. The women behind the bar would not serve us! We stood there for a good few minutes and even after she looked at us and I said “ Helloo!?” she still ignored us so we turned on our heel and proceeded to another bar / restaurant where we got our long awaited beer and brought a gift for my uncle as we was the one who was generous enough to have us stay overnight and meeting us at Penrith station. While sitting in a booth in the bar, we checked our itinerary and after deciding to watch the people who were staring at us, we figured that it was time for an obligatory tourist photo.
We caught a train later than we had written in the itinerary since the Tiger flight we took was 30mis late and found the platform easier enough but first we had to pick ourselves up from the floor from the fright we got when we got our tickets, $17.90 EACH to get to Penrith station. What is the equivalent to a weekly student ticket in Melbourne!
Any hoo, we enjoyed the novelty of a double decker train and I had some random compliment me with “Nice outfit bro!” which did confuse me a bit. Did I look like a male or like someone’s brother?? I put it down to being a friendly term of dialect of the area.
We were warmly greeted by my uncle after a couple a drinks and much talking we headed off to bed and set the alarms (in case one failed) for 6:30 though it would have been earlier but my Uncle was gracious enough to offer to drive us to the meet location.
The following day were were dropped off at the meeting point and met some of the other models who were already there. We all got taxis to the studio where we started getting ready. But first Ajax and I headed down to the 711 to get the all important energy drinks.
While i was getting my hair and make up done, I also had to take out all my deards, braids and beads that were still in my hair.
There was sooo much make up, if my collection looked like this i would be soo happy!
After hair and make up:
